About Brittany Elliott
I know what it’s like to get stuck in a cycle of overwhelm, exhaustion, resentment, and frustration—and I know how to get out of it.
In April 2020, I found myself lost in a life I barely recognized. My daughter was 2 years old, I’d been married for almost a year, and we were in the middle of buying a home. Like many, the pandemic had turned our home into a workplace, and I spent my days at the dining room table, still in my pajamas. I was just going through the motions.
Then one day, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror—and didn’t recognize the woman staring back. I looked exhausted, disheveled, and disconnected. It wasn’t just an identity crisis; it was a shattered sense of self. I realized I’d been so focused on being a mother, wife, and employee that I’d lost all connection with myself.
Motherhood wasn’t what broke me—it was how I approached it. I was pouring everything into others and leaving nothing for myself.
That moment in the mirror was a wake-up call. I knew I needed to change, so I committed to just 5 minutes of self-care each day. It wasn’t about the activities themselves, but how they rebuilt my overall wellness—starting with my emotional wellness and moving through social, physical, spiritual, and intellectual wellness.
Today, I’m filled with joy in my motherhood journey and more connected to myself than ever. Now, I help other working moms do the same by building simple, sustainable self-care routines that truly enrich their lives.
Back to You in 5 has 3 core pillars: Reflect. Reconnect. Renew.
Reflect on your growth and what you have accomplished along the motherhood journey.
Reconnect with yourself by returning to the passions and interests that make you who you are as a woman.
Renew your confidence, establish better habits, set new goals, and thrive throughout your journey.
Consistent self-care decreases anxiety and stress, increases confidence and improves the relationship you have with yourself.
I appreciate you!
Motherhood is a journey, not a destination.
